Manuel Sofia aka MOS was worn in Buenos Aires Argentina, 26 years ago. Son of a renowned argentine classic pianist, he lived and breathed music early in his life.
MOS starts his dj career at the age of 16, and his love for electronic music production is dated around the same time, but it wasn..t until he turned 21 that he started producing tracks that flowed between techno and house with a much more serious approach.
Up until now he has played in Argentina’s biggest and trendiest clubs and countries such as Germany (Home14 - Get Physical Label Party), USA (Sullivan Room), France, Brazil (Pacha Sao Paulo, We Love Sundays), Mexico (Rioma), Spain, Poland, Turkey, Greece, Paraguay & Uruguay.
He has shared booth with Oliver Hauntemann, Steve Lawler, D Nox, King Unique, Paolo Mojo, Guy J, Afrilounge, Beckers, G Pal, Greg Vickers and Kosmas Epsilon among many others.
As a producer his achievements speak for themselves, as he has released and signed tracks and remixes to labels such as Audiotherapy, Sprout Germany, Electribe, Global Underground, Noizen, Beef Records, Swift, Acute, Pissed Off, Off Side, Vivid Trax, Vapour, Vapourize, Politik, Mashtronic y Criminal UK. Many of his tracks have been supported by renowned djs such as Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Satoshi Tommie, D Nox, Funk D Void, Oliver Klein, Dave Mothersole, Nick Warren, Jodi Wisternoff, Slacker, G Pal and Guy J, among many others.
He had the privilege of being part of tracklists in numerous compilations like Hernan Cattaneo’s “Sequential 1” (Renaissance), Dave Seaman “Master Series” (Renaissance), Audiotherapy SPRING/SUMMER 2008 Mixed by Jim Rivers (Audiotherapy), Kosmas Epsilon & Luke Chable “Addicted” (Platipus), G Pal “1” (Swift), G Pal contra Anna Maria X (Swift) and Prime Cuts (Beef Records). MOS has been honored as well to have tracks featured in Balance Record Pool & Release Records promo pool, and having polish website Soundrevolt voting him Best Ep of the Year in 2004 (MOS “Electrify·” - Pissed Off), Best Remix in 2005 (MOS “Faith” - Pj Davy Remix - Pissed Off) and Best Remix in 2007 (Fefo “Shh” MOS Remix).
He also hosted a weekly radio show in KSK Radio in Argentina for over 2 years with luxury guests such as Satoshi Tomiie, Funk D Void, Khainz & Dave Robertson among others. Nowadays, and a monthly show at Frisky Radio, called “Groupies Ears Bomber” with past guests Guy J, Chaim, Plass, Baunder, Oliverio, Elias Tsikas and Baudelaire.
MOS’s eclectic live sets range from minimal to house & techno and have become his personal trademark. 2008 will see this argentine dj & producer touring Europe in June/July, playing in countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain and Italy, launching his new label Noizen (www.noizenmusic.com - www.myspace.com/noizen) in April and doing what keeps him awake at nights… music.
