Solead - Chicaboo Ep pt 1

Pena´s Flow Vinyl turn to France for their next release and the special two-part ‘Chicaboo’ EP from Solead featuring a stunning remix package. Solead are the Parisian duo of Charles Michaud and Vincent Courcot, and they’ve been releasing electronic music across the spectrum since 2000. With tracks on labels like Vapour, Metroline and their own Tree Hand Music, and support from John Digweed, Thomas Schumacher and Damian Lazarus, they’ve established themselves as major players on the French dance scene.

‘Chicaboo’ is a summer house anthem driven by an infectious rolling rhythm and topped off with layers of vocal effects and snippets of acoustic guitar. It’s got that outside terrace DC10 vibe that sure to crossover between house and deep techno DJs. Part 1 of the remix package sees the original joined by two reworkings from Kassey Voorn whose recent remix credits include Guy Gerber, Guy J and James Holden.
The Greek producer toughens the track up on his first remix giving it more drive and drama for main room sets, while his Balearic version is a blissed out, melodic affair which soothes the soul as well as moving the feet.
