FLR1320EP - D-Sens - Waiting For The Sun

For their first release of 2013, Flow Records present a new track from D-Sens which perfectly captures the icy chill of winter. Appropriately titled, ‘Waiting for the Sun’ is a slow-burner with a growling, intense energy, and a rollin’ funk more than capable of capturing the dancefloor.

The French producer has an impressive collection of productions to his name, including an earlier release on Flow Records under his Lunaspice alias, and ‘Waiting for the Sun’ is the sound of a master at work. With its pulsating bassline, sensuous synths, and extra smatterings of percussion and eerie effects, it takes hold and won’t let go. Chilly at the edges perhaps, but also with a warm glow at its heart.

The hugely respected James Monro takes control for the first remix bringing the groove to the fore, and creates a lighter, tripper version of the original. The London legend who is now based in Brazil will need little introduction to Flow Records aficionados, and this is the perfect mix for the warmer spring nights to come.

Completing the package is a reworking from Fenix Project, part of the Flow Records crew based in the label’s hometown of Lisbon. His remix takes the energy up another notch with power-driven beats. Stripped back but still melodic, and sprinkled with delicate extra touches, this is destined to be a favourite with the progressive techno heads.
